Frequently Asked Questions

Who buys eight cartridges at once?

Offices where the 6280 is shared infrastructure rather than a personal printer — print rooms, busy departments and anyone whose monthly volume burns through the black 106R01395 (up to 7,000 pages) and the colors 106R01392, 106R01393 and 106R01394 (up to 5,900 pages each) on a predictable rhythm. Eight cartridges means a full change today and the next change already on the shelf.

How is the eight divided among the colors?

The set is drawn from the four part numbers — 106R01395 black, 106R01392 cyan, 106R01393 magenta and 106R01394 yellow — without a fixed published split, so verify the labels on arrival and store each cartridge with its slot in mind. What is guaranteed is that every cartridge in the box belongs to this family and fits the same machine.

Any storage advice for this much stock?

Use a first-in, first-out habit: when you restock, place the new box behind the older cartridges so the oldest units are installed first. Keep everything sealed, flat, and in a cool, dry space away from sunlight. Marking the delivery month on the box with a pen makes the rotation foolproof.

Which printers does this bulk set serve?

The Phaser 6280 and its duplex sibling, the Phaser 6280DN, share this cartridge family. Matching the numbers on your existing cartridges — 106R01395, 106R01392, 106R01393, 106R01394 — against the box remains the definitive check.

Can different people on my team install these?

Yes. Swapping a cartridge on this platform is a user task, not a service call: open the front cover, slide the old unit out, remove the new cartridge's protective tape, and seat it until it clicks. No tools and no settings to adjust — the printer recognizes the fresh cartridge and updates its level estimate automatically.

What happens if one cartridge out of the eight is faulty?

The set is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, detailed on our shipping and returns page. Stock ships from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and our support team is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
