Frequently Asked Questions

How does stocking six cartridges change the way a department reorders?

It moves the reorder point from panic to routine. With six colour cartridges held in the building, an empty bay is a two-minute swap during the working day, and the purchase decision happens at a desk afterwards instead of at the printer with a deadline pressing. Busy teams typically fold the next order into their regular supplies run once the shelf stock thins, rather than paying for urgent delivery because one colour stopped a job.

Which cartridges make up the six?

Six cartridges spanning the printer's three colour positions: cyan under code 106R01392, magenta under code 106R01393 and yellow under code 106R01394. Each unit is labelled with its code and colour name, so the store shelf reads like an index — whoever maintains the printer pulls the cartridge the machine asked for without sorting through lookalike boxes. Black is outside this set entirely and is ordered on its own listing when the text bay runs down.

How should a stockpile this size be kept and rotated?

Sealed, dry and out of direct sun. An unopened cartridge keeps its full rating on the shelf, but cupboards above heaters and windowsills age toner early, so pick a stable indoor spot. Rotate by arrival date — the oldest box for a colour goes into the printer first — and break a seal only when the cartridge is about to be fitted, because an opened unit left sitting around can gather dust on its contact surfaces.

What does the per-cartridge page rating mean for a heavy colour workload?

Every cartridge in the box, each 106R01392, 106R01393 and 106R01394, is rated at 5,900 pages measured on the standard test page at about 5% coverage. A department printing full-colour packs, charts and photographs will move through colour well ahead of that figure, because real pages carry far more toner than the test sheet; a floor producing mostly documents with colour headers will track much closer to it. Your own monthly page count is the honest guide to how long the shelf stock lasts.

Can the same stock serve more than one printer model on the floor?

Across this family, yes. The cartridges fit the Phaser 6280 and the Phaser 6280DN, and the 6280N takes the same three codes too. Those trailing letters describe networking and duplex options rather than a different engine, so one shared store cupboard can feed any mix of these machines without splitting stock by model.

How is a purchase of this size protected?

Cover attaches to each cartridge individually: all six units carry a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns in their own right, so one faulty cartridge is swapped or refunded on its own and the remaining stock is unaffected. Shipments are sent from whichever of our warehouses — IL, PA, GA or CA — is closest to the delivery address, help is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and delivery options plus the returns walkthrough are set out on our shipping & returns page.

About This 6 Colour Set for the Phaser 6280

Priced at $243.14, this is the bulk colour holding for the Phaser 6280 family: six cartridges covering the cyan 106R01392, magenta 106R01393 and yellow 106R01394 positions, each one rated at 5,900 pages. It is aimed at printers that earn their keep daily, where a colour outage costs more than the cartridge does — the refill is already in the cupboard when the warning light appears. Sealed stock keeps its rating in storage, cover runs unit by unit with a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns throughout, and black for this platform sits in its own listing within the wider Xerox range.
