Frequently Asked Questions

The two cartridges are identical — so what does the second one actually buy me?

Time. Black toner rarely fades at a convenient moment; it fades three pages into the document you needed five minutes ago. With this 2 pack of the 106R02759, the replacement is already in the building: open the drawer, swap the cartridge, finish the job. The second cartridge turns a two-day delivery wait into a two-minute pause.

How does the price compare with buying two singles?

Two single cartridges bought one at a time come to $50.96. This pack is $32.48 — $18.48 less. That works out to $16.24 per cartridge and about 0.81 cents per page, down from roughly 1.27 cents a page on the single. Same toner, same 2,000-page rating per cartridge, 4,000 pages across the pair.

How long is 4,000 pages in ordinary office time?

It depends on your rhythm. A desk printing around 200 pages a month would take the better part of two years to empty both; a small office at 500 pages a month gets through the pair in about eight months. Either way, the reorder conversation moves from "urgent" to "whenever convenient."

How should I keep the spare until its turn comes?

In its sealed packaging, lying flat, somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight — a stationery cupboard is ideal. Toner does not spoil like ink; a cartridge stored that way will wait patiently for the months the first one may take to run its 2,000 pages.

Which machines does this pack fit?

The two printers built on this platform: the Phaser 6022 and the WorkCentre 6027. Both take the same black cartridge, so one pack can cover a mixed pair of machines as readily as a single printer.

What happens if one of the two is faulty?

Each cartridge is covered the same way: a one-year warranty with free returns for a year, as described on the shipping and returns page. Parcels are dispatched from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, help is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and everything else we carry for these printers sits on the Xerox toner page.
