Frequently Asked Questions

The listing name says "Cartridges" — how many are actually in the box?

One. The plural wording is a quirk of how this listing is titled; what arrives is a single 106R02759 black cartridge, rated at up to 2,000 pages, for $25.48. If you want several at once, the 2, 3 and 5 packs of this same cartridge are listed separately — this page is the one-cartridge option, named after the Phaser 6022 it most commonly feeds.

What kind of printer is the 6022, and what does that mean for toner use?

It is a compact desktop colour laser, the sort found in home offices and small workgroups. In that setting nearly all everyday output — emails printed for the file, invoices, forms, letters — is black text work, so this black cartridge turns over steadily while the colour cartridges are used sparingly.

How far does one cartridge's 2,000 pages really go?

The rating assumes light page coverage, around five per cent — ordinary correspondence. At a few hundred pages a month, expect a cartridge to last the better part of a year; at a thousand pages a month, a couple of months. Bold, dense documents shorten the run; plain letters stretch it.

When is it worth stepping up from this single to a pack?

When you notice you are ordering it for the second or third time. The cartridge inside is identical either way, but the packs cut the per-page cost from this single's roughly 1.27 cents down towards half that. Occasional printers lose nothing by staying with the single.

Does this cartridge fit anything besides the 6022?

Yes — the platform shares its black cartridge across two machines: this listing's namesake, the Phaser 6022, and the WorkCentre 6027 multifunction. One spare on the shelf covers either.

What warranty and returns cover apply?

A one-year warranty and free returns for a year, with the full terms on the shipping and returns page. Orders leave our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and the balance of the range is on the Xerox toner page.
