Frequently Asked Questions
Why does this listing carry two part numbers instead of one?
The listing presents the cartridge under both numbers together — 106R02736 and 106R02737 — so the practical check is simple: pull the cartridge that is in your machine now and match the label. If either of those numbers is the one printed on it, this is the supply you are looking at. Ordering by the number on the old cartridge is always more reliable than ordering by the machine's badge alone.
The whole department shares our 3655X. How long should one cartridge last?
It is rated for up to 6,100 pages. A shared machine in a busy department can move through that in a matter of weeks, while a quieter office might stretch the same cartridge across a season. The rating assumes standard coverage, so departments printing dense reports and forms will see the lower end of the range.
When is the right moment to reorder so the machine never sits empty?
When the low-toner warning first appears, not when pages start fading. The warning is designed to leave you working room — typically enough pages to cover the days a replacement takes to arrive. On a shared machine nobody owns the warning, which is exactly why the habit that works is simple: whoever sees it first, orders.
Which printers does this supply fit?
The WorkCentre 3655X named in this listing, along with the closely related WorkCentre 3655. The two models share the same black cartridge, so an office running one of each still keeps just one supply code on the shelf.
Can I keep a spare on the shelf without it spoiling?
Yes — a sealed cartridge stores well. Keep it in its packaging, lying flat, in a cool dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and it will be ready when the installed one gives out. Only open the wrapping at the moment you are ready to fit it.
What if something goes wrong with the cartridge?
It is backed by a one-year warranty with free returns for a full year, set out in full on the shipping and returns page. Shipments go out from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, the support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and further supplies for the range are collected on the Xerox toner page.
About This WorkCentre 3655X Black Cartridge
A single compatible black cartridge for the WorkCentre 3655X, sold under the part numbers 106R02736 and 106R02737 at $53.15 and rated for up to 6,100 pages. It is written for the way these machines actually live — shared, busy and noticed only when they stop — so the listing leads with the numbers you match against the cartridge already in your printer.
