Frequently Asked Questions
What does the second cartridge in this pack actually buy me?
Time. The first cartridge goes into the machine; the second waits sealed in the cupboard, so the day the installed one runs out, the swap takes two minutes instead of turning into a rush order and a printer standing idle. On a machine an office depends on daily, that continuity is most of what a 2 pack is for.
How much do I save against buying the cartridges one at a time?
Two single cartridges at $53.15 come to $106.30. This pack is $87.83, which puts $18.47 back in your pocket and brings the per-cartridge price down to $43.91. The saving comes purely from buying the pair together.
How many pages does the pair cover in total?
Each cartridge is rated at up to 6,100 pages, so the pack carries up to 12,200 pages between the two — roughly twenty-four reams of paper. At that volume the cost works out to about 0.72 cents per page.
Which machines do these cartridges fit?
Both the WorkCentre 3655 and the WorkCentre 3655X, which share the same black supply. The cartridges in this pack carry the part numbers 106R02736 and 106R02737 as listed.
Do both cartridges go into the printer at once?
No — the machine holds one cartridge at a time. Fit the first, and keep the second in its sealed packaging until the changeover comes. A cartridge stored sealed, flat and away from heat keeps perfectly well in the meantime, so there is no downside to the spare waiting its turn.
What cover do the cartridges come with?
Each one is covered by a one-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year — the terms are on the shipping and returns page. Orders ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and the rest of the range is gathered on the Xerox toner page.
