Frequently Asked Questions
We run more than one of these machines. Can one pack serve the whole office?
Yes, and that is one of the quiet advantages of this platform. The 3655 and its X sibling take the same black cartridge, so a single pack on the supply shelf can cover a changeover on either machine. Instead of stocking different supplies for different printers, whoever manages the cupboard watches one cartridge code.
How does the changeover rhythm work with a pair?
One cartridge is always in a machine and one is always in reserve. When a machine's supply runs out, the reserve goes in and the pack has done its job — that empty slot in the cupboard is your signal to order the next pair. It turns toner ordering into a visual habit rather than a diary task.
What does printing cost per page on this pack?
The pack puts 12,200 rated pages in your hands for $87.83, which is about 0.72 cents per page. For budgeting, that makes monthly toner spend easy to forecast: count the reams the office used and the toner cost follows at well under a cent a sheet.
How should the reserve cartridge be kept between changeovers?
Sealed in its packaging, stored flat in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Toner cartridges are not perishable in any short-term sense, so a reserve bought today will print exactly as well when its turn comes months from now.
Which models is this pack for?
The WorkCentre 3655 and the WorkCentre 3655X. The cartridges carry the part numbers 106R02736 and 106R02737, the numbers to match against the label of the cartridge coming out of your machine.
What happens if a cartridge underperforms?
Both cartridges are backed by a one-year warranty with free returns for a full year; the full wording is on the shipping and returns page. Deliveries leave warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, help is on hand Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and more for these machines is listed on the Xerox toner page.
