Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a 3-pack the right size for?

A small office that prints steadily and does not want consumables on its mind every quarter. Three 101R00474 drum units hold 30,000 pages of imaging life between them — at a few hundred pages a week, that is the better part of a year of printing with the spares already in the building. It suits an office that has learned from experience how annoying a mid-job drum failure is, and would rather stock ahead once than reorder under pressure three times.

What do the three units cost each?

The pack is $61.67, which works out to $20.56 per drum — against $32.88 for a single, you save $36.97 across the three, and the imaging cost comes down to roughly 0.21 cents per page. Each unit is the standard 101R00474 drum rated at 10,000 pages; the saving comes from the bundle, not from any difference in the product.

Our office has both a 3260 and a 3215 — does one drum part really cover both?

Yes, and it is the quiet advantage of this pack size. The printer and the multifunction machine share the same print engine and the same 101R00474 drum unit, so a single stock of three covers whichever machine wears its drum out first. There is no need to keep separate spares per model, and no risk of holding the right drum for the wrong printer.

How do I keep track of which unit to fit first?

Use the oldest first. Write the arrival month on each box when the pack lands, keep the units sealed and stacked in arrival order, and always take from the front of the pile. Drum ratings are counted in pages, not months, so rotation is about tidiness rather than expiry — but a simple first-in, first-out habit means no unit is ever forgotten at the back of the cupboard for years.

Which machines are these drums for?

Every unit in the pack is the 101R00474 drum for the Phaser 3260 and the WorkCentre 3215. One part number, two machine types — check the drum you remove carries the same number and the match is confirmed.

What cover comes with the pack?

All three units are backed by a one-year warranty and free returns for a year; the full terms sit on the shipping and returns page. We deliver from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST. Everything else for this printer line is gathered on the Xerox toner page.
