Frequently Asked Questions

Who honestly gets through five 10,000-page cartridges?

Offices where the SCX-5635FN never really rests: a department machine printing and copying all day, or a workplace running several of these printers off one supply shelf. Fifty thousand pages is a serious volume — a light-use office would take years over it, and for them a smaller pack is the sensible buy. This five-pack is sized for genuine throughput, and its price per cartridge is the reward for honestly having it.

What does the per-cartridge price drop to in this pack?

The five-pack is $314.69, which is $62.94 for each MLT-D208L against $77.73 for a single — $14.79 less every time a fresh cartridge is opened, and $73.96 saved across the pack against five singles. At roughly 0.63 cents a page it is also the cheapest way to run this cartridge short of the ten-pack, which only makes sense at still heavier volumes.

Can one five-pack stock more than one machine?

Yes, provided the machines are the same model. Every cartridge in the pack is the MLT-D208L listed for the Samsung SCX-5635FN, so a shelf holding this pack can feed any SCX-5635FN in the building — whichever machine runs down first takes the next cartridge, and no spare is ever tied to one particular printer. That common stock is a large part of why multi-machine offices buy in fives.

How should five cartridges be worked through so none ages on the shelf?

Take them strictly in the order they arrived: keep the boxes sealed and stored flat in a dry place, and always fit the longest-held cartridge next. That first-in, first-out habit means the pack is consumed as a rolling stock rather than four cartridges ageing behind one favourite, and it keeps the average age of everything you fit comfortably low.

Does the warranty run long enough for a pack this size?

Each cartridge carries a one-year warranty against defects, and the honest point about any deep stock is that the cover runs from the purchase date, not from the day a cartridge is fitted. A machine working steadily through five 10,000-page cartridges stays well inside that horizon; a machine that would take three years over the pack is better served by smaller, fresher orders. Buy the quantity your page counter says you will use.

What are the returns terms on this five-pack?

The purchase can be returned free of charge at any point within the first year — the full wording is set out on the shipping and returns page. The pack is dispatched from the closest of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and support answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
