Frequently Asked Questions

Is a three-pack roughly a year's supply for our SCX-5635FN?

For many offices, yes — but run your own arithmetic before assuming. The pack holds 30,000 rated pages, so a machine printing and copying around 2,500 pages a month would take about a year to finish it, while one doing 5,000 a month would be through it in six months. The rating assumes standard five percent coverage, so chart-heavy reporting trims the real figure. The honest test is your machine's own page counter, not the calendar.

What does each cartridge in this pack come to?

The three-pack is $196.21 — $65.40 for each MLT-D208L, against $77.73 bought one at a time. Across the pack that is $36.98 saved, and it pulls the running cost down to about 0.65 cents a page from the single's 0.78. The cartridges are unchanged from the single in every other respect: the same 10,000-page high-yield rating, the same fit, the same cover.

A shared machine eats toner at an uneven rate — does that change anything?

Only your expectations of timing. On the SCX-5635FN, copying spends toner exactly as printing does, while scanning spends none, so the department's true consumption is its printed plus copied pages — a figure that swings with the workload, not the week. Three cartridges in reserve absorb those swings: a heavy month simply brings the next cartridge off the shelf sooner, and the reorder decision never has to be made in a panic.

Which machines do these three cartridges serve?

The MLT-D208L is the supply listed for the Samsung SCX-5635FN, and all three cartridges in this pack carry that code. One fit across the pack keeps stock simple in a shared office — whoever changes the cartridge, whenever it falls due, the next box on the shelf is always the right one for the machine.

How honest is the 10,000-page rating on each cartridge?

It is a standardised measure, not a promise about your office: 10,000 pages at roughly five percent coverage, the level of an ordinary text page. Pages carrying logos, shaded tables or graphics lay down more toner and finish sooner. Judge the rating as a comparison tool between cartridges — it is exact for that — and expect your own yield to land wherever your document mix puts it.

What warranty and returns stand behind this pack?

Every cartridge in the pack carries a one-year warranty against defects, and the purchase is returnable free of charge at any time within the first year — the complete details are on the shipping and returns page. If a question comes up mid-pack, support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
