Frequently Asked Questions

Why is two the natural quantity to reorder for this cartridge?

Because it matches how a cartridge is actually consumed: one MLT-D208L working in the machine and one sealed on the shelf. When the fitted cartridge runs down, the spare goes straight in — no wait for a delivery, no job left unfinished — and the empty slot on the shelf is your signal to order the next two-pack. For a single SCX-5635FN in steady use, that simple rhythm keeps toner permanently off the office's worry list.

What do the two cartridges work out to individually?

The two-pack is $136.97, which is $68.49 a cartridge against $77.73 for a single — a saving of $18.49 across the pair. The cartridges are the same high-yield MLT-D208L units sold singly, each rated at 10,000 pages, so the pair brings the running cost down from about 0.78 cents a page to roughly 0.68 cents a page without asking you to stock any deeper than one spare.

How much printing does the pair cover in total?

Twenty thousand rated pages between them — 10,000 from the cartridge in the machine and 10,000 more waiting. Ratings are measured at around five percent coverage, so heavily shaded documents will trim the real total, but as a planning figure the pair is best thought of as two full cartridge lives bought in one decision, with the second life already in the building when the first ends.

Which printer do both cartridges fit?

Both are the MLT-D208L supply listed for the Samsung SCX-5635FN. That single fit is what makes the one-in, one-on-the-shelf pattern work: there is no sorting spares by machine, no second code to remember, and no risk of the spare turning out to belong to a different printer when it is needed in a hurry.

How should the spare cartridge be kept until it is fitted?

Sealed in its box, flat, in a dry cupboard away from heat and direct sun — nothing more elaborate than that. Kept so, a toner cartridge waits patiently, and the rotation takes care of itself: the spare is fitted next, and the fresh delivery becomes the new spare. Avoid unboxing early or storing the cartridge upright in a damp storeroom and it will perform as rated when its turn comes.

What cover do the two cartridges carry?

Each cartridge in the pair is covered by a one-year warranty against defects, and your purchase can be returned free of charge at any point in the first year — see the shipping and returns page for the full terms. The pack is sent from whichever of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses is closest to you.
