Frequently Asked Questions

One cartridge in the printer, one on the shelf — is that the idea behind this two-pack?

Exactly that. The pair ends the gap between a cartridge finishing and its replacement arriving: the ML-2855 never waits on a delivery because the next MLT-D209L is already in the building. For a printer whose work cannot queue — invoices, dispatch notes, statements — that shelf cartridge is the cheapest insurance in the office.

What do the two cartridges cost each, and what do we save?

The pair is $56.67, which is $28.34 a cartridge against $37.58 bought one at a time — $18.49 saved across the two, and the rated page cost falls from about 0.75 cents to roughly 0.57 cents. Between them the cartridges carry 10,000 pages of rating.

Is a two-pack the right size for our ML-2855, or should we buy more at once?

It depends on pace, honestly. A printer working through a cartridge every month or two will cycle the pair quickly and might prefer the larger packs' lower per-cartridge price. A steadier ML-2855 that takes a season over one cartridge gets the no-gap benefit from two without tying up money in stock it will not touch for a year.

Which other printers can use the spare from this pack?

The MLT-D209L family: the ML-2855ND, the SCX-4824FN and the SCX-4826FN run the same cartridge. So the 'spare for the ML-2855' is quietly a spare for any of those machines too — useful in offices where printers outnumber the people who order toner.

Does the second cartridge keep while it waits its turn?

Perfectly well, sealed in its packaging in a dry cupboard out of direct sun. Toner powder does not go stale the way inkjet ink can; the cartridge that goes in second prints exactly like the one that went in first.

What cover comes with the pair?

Both cartridges carry the one-year warranty, and returns are free for a full year — see the shipping & returns page. If either unit misbehaves, it is handled on its own; the good cartridge is never part of the conversation.
