Frequently Asked Questions

What does "8 Color Set" mean on this CLT-609S listing?

It is the bulk version of the set: eight cartridges in the box, drawn from the same four CLT-609S cartridges named in the title — CLT-K609S black, CLT-C609S cyan, CLT-M609S magenta and CLT-Y609S yellow. Black is rated at 7,000 pages and the colors at 7,000 pages each, so eight cartridges represent 56,000 pages of rated capacity in total.

Who buys eight cartridges at once?

Sites where the printer cannot wait on deliveries: a busy department, a print room, or an office that restocks the cupboard in one order and then forgets about toner for a long stretch. With every slot's replacement already on site, a low-toner warning is a two-minute job rather than a purchase order.

How does the $855.65 price compare per cartridge?

Divided by eight, it is about $106.96 per cartridge — a little less per unit than the four-cartridge set's roughly $108.89, which is the usual shape of buying in bulk. Against the full 56,000-page rated capacity, the running figure is around 1.5 cents per page.

How should the spare cartridges be stored?

Keep them sealed in their boxes, flat, at ordinary room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Toner cartridges are dry powder in a sealed unit — they do not dry out like ink — so a cupboard shelf is perfectly good storage until the printer asks for them.

What cover applies to a bulk set like this?

The same as every cartridge we sell: a 1-year warranty on each one, and free returns within the first year. The process is set out on our shipping & returns page.

Which printers is this set listed for?

The listing's printer list shows the CLP-770ND; the set is the CLT-609S family, so any machine taking those four cartridges is its home. Support can confirm your model Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders ship from our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses.
