Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a three-pack of black cartridges actually sized for?

An office that gets through a cartridge every few months and is tired of reordering. Three CLT-K609S cartridges total 21,000 rated pages — enough to carry a mid-volume desk for the better part of a year without a single toner errand. If you change black once a year or less, a three-pack is more shelf than you need and the two-pack is the honest fit; this size earns its place where the printer works daily.

What does the per-cartridge price fall to in this pack?

The three-pack is $181.23, which is $60.41 a cartridge. Against $70.71 for a single, that is $30.90 saved across the pack, and the per-page cost of black toner drops to about 0.86 cents. Nothing about the cartridge changes at this quantity — it is the same 7,000-page CLT-K609S — only the unit price improves as the box gets bigger.

Which printer is this three-pack for?

The Samsung CLP-770ND, whose black position takes the CLT-K609S code shown in this listing's title. The printer's color positions are separate cartridges from the same 609S generation and are not included here; this pack is three blacks and nothing else, so check the color levels before assuming a full set is due.

Do graphics-heavy documents change the maths?

They do. The 7,000-page rating behind the 21,000-page pack total assumes around five percent coverage, the level of ordinary text. Presentations, charts and shaded forms lay down considerably more toner, so a design-heavy office will turn the pack over faster than the raw page count suggests. Watch the page counter rather than the calendar and the pack's real lifespan will be no surprise.

Should all three cartridges go into service at once?

They cannot — the printer takes one black cartridge at a time. Fit the first, keep the other two sealed and stored flat in a dry place, and rotate them in as each predecessor empties, oldest stock first. Stored that way, the third cartridge will print like new when its turn arrives, months after delivery.

What if a cartridge in the pack turns out to be faulty?

It is covered the same way as any single purchase: a one-year warranty stands behind every cartridge in the box, and returns are free throughout the first year. The full policy is published on our shipping and returns page. Support is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders ship from our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses.
