Frequently Asked Questions

What does the second cartridge in this two-pack actually save us?

Real money, worked out plainly: two CLT-K609S singles bought one at a time would cost $141.42, while this pair is $125.96 — $62.98 a cartridge and $15.46 kept. Across the two cartridges you get 14,000 rated pages, which brings black toner down to about 0.90 cents a page. The saving comes from the bundle, not from a lesser cartridge; both units are the same 7,000-page supply sold singly.

How should we work through the two cartridges?

One in the printer, one on the shelf. Fit the first CLT-K609S when the old one gives out and treat the sealed second as your buffer: the day the low-toner warning appears, the replacement is already in the building and the change takes minutes. Reorder when the spare goes into the machine, not when it runs out, and the printer never waits on a delivery.

Which printer does this pair belong to?

These are black cartridges for the Samsung CLP-770ND, listed under the cartridge code CLT-K609S. The machine's three color positions take their own cartridges from the same 609S family and are ordered separately, so this pack covers the black side of the printer only.

How long will 14,000 pages carry a working office?

Two cartridges at 7,000 rated pages each cover a long stretch for most desks: around 1,000 pages a month and the pair lasts well over a year; at 3,000 pages a month it is roughly four to five months. Because both cartridges are identical, there is no juggling of sizes — the second simply continues where the first stopped.

How should the spare be stored until it is needed?

Sealed in its box, lying flat, in a dry cupboard away from heat and direct sunlight. Toner does not spoil on a calendar, but an unopened CLT-K609S kept sensibly will perform exactly like a fresh one when its turn comes. Keep it somewhere the office can find it — a spare nobody can locate is no spare at all.

What protection stands behind a two-pack?

The same cover as a single, applied cartridge by cartridge: each unit in the pack is backed by a one-year warranty, and the purchase carries free returns for a full year, with the terms on our shipping and returns page. Deliveries leave from the nearest of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
