Frequently Asked Questions

Why did the cyan run out while the magenta and yellow still show plenty left?

Because the four cartridges live separate lives. Your documents decide each color's fate: a quarter of blue-heavy reports, charts and letterheads can empty the cyan while the magenta barely moves. The CLT-C508S is rated at 2,000 pages, the same as its magenta and yellow partners, but identical ratings do not mean identical consumption — your page mix writes a different story for every color.

The cartridge I pulled out is stamped CLT-C508S, but this listing's headline says CLT-508S — is it the same cartridge?

Yes. CLT-508S is the family shorthand for the whole 508S range; the full code names the color, and the C in CLT-C508S stands for this cyan. The cartridge in this box is the cyan member of that family, rated at 2,000 pages, and it is the supply your printer's cyan slot is asking for.

How long should 2,000 pages of cyan last a small office?

Count color pages, not pages. An office printing a few dozen color documents a week will typically measure one of these cartridges in months; a studio turning out daily photo proofs should think in weeks. The 2,000-page rating assumes standard 5% coverage, so your own pace is set by how much of each page is actually blue.

What does the cyan in this listing cost per page?

At $57.72 for a cartridge rated at 2,000 pages, the arithmetic lands at roughly 2.89 cents per page for the cyan component of your color printing. It is a useful figure when you are costing a brochure run or comparing the color page against an outside print quote.

Which machines does this cyan cartridge serve?

The CLT-C508S is listed for the Samsung CLP-620ND and CLP-670N. It sits in the same family as the black CLT-K508S and the magenta and yellow CLT-M508S and CLT-Y508S, so if your printer runs those codes, this cyan completes the set.

If the color comes out wrong, what cover do I have?

Every Clever Supplies compatible cartridge, this one included, is backed by a one-year warranty and a full year of free returns — if a cartridge is defective or simply not right for you, the shipping and returns page explains how the return works. Questions before you order are welcome Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
