Frequently Asked Questions

At about 0.38 cents a page, where does the saving actually come from?

It comes from the yield, not from cutting corners on the toner itself. This cartridge is rated at 9,000 pages, and at $33.91 that works out to roughly 0.38 cents per page. A lower-yield cartridge that costs less up front can easily cost more per printed page, so the honest way to compare is price divided by pages — and on that math this single cartridge holds up well for everyday black-and-white office work.

How long will 9,000 pages last in a typical small office?

That depends entirely on your monthly volume. At 500 pages a month, one cartridge can stretch close to 18 months. At 1,500 pages a month you are looking at about six months, and a busy desk printing 3,000 pages a month will go through it in roughly three. The 9,000-page rating assumes standard 5% page coverage, so heavy full-page documents will land lower and light memos can land higher.

My Aficio is getting old — is it still worth feeding it a fresh cartridge?

Usually, yes. Machines in the 1515 and MP 161 family are simple, durable black-and-white units, and a fading or streaky page is far more often a tired cartridge than a dying printer. If your prints have gone light, swapping in a fresh 9,000-page cartridge is the cheapest test there is: if the output comes back dark and even, the machine still has plenty of life in it.

Which printers does this cartridge work in?

This is the Type 1130D cartridge for Ricoh Aficio 1515 and MP 161. If your machine is in that family, it drops straight in with no adapters or modifications. If you are unsure which cartridge your model takes, check the label on the cartridge you are removing — the type number is printed right on it.

What if the cartridge arrives damaged or prints badly?

Every cartridge we sell is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, so a defective unit never becomes your problem. If something is wrong, contact us and we will make it right with a replacement or a refund. Full details are on our shipping and returns page.

How fast will it ship, and from where?

Orders ship from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — is best placed to reach you quickly. If you need help before or after ordering, our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
