Cross-reference: Ricoh 841455, the Type MP C5501/C9155/LD655C (also listed as Type MP C5000/C5050/LD550C) cyan print cartridge (18,000 pages). This cartridge fits the Ricoh Aficio MP C4501 and MP C5501 — the same machine platform also sold as the Savin C9145 and C9155 and the Lanier LD645C and LD655C, and it is also the official cyan cartridge for the Ricoh Aficio MP C4000 and MP C5000.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does cyan always seem to finish first on our machine?

Because most office color work is blue at heart — corporate templates, charts, hyperlink-blue text, skies in presentations, and the blue in most company logos all draw heavily on cyan. On an MP C4501 doing typical office work, cyan draining ahead of the other colors is normal, not a defect. It simply means your document mix leans blue.

What does cyan cost us per page here?

This cartridge is $84.51 and rated for up to 17,000 pages, which is roughly 0.50 cents of cyan per page. That is a healthy figure for a compatible color cartridge on a machine of this class, and it is calculated on the same 5% coverage basis as the original brand's ratings, so comparisons are fair.

Our blues look purple — is that a cyan problem too?

Often, yes. Blue is cyan plus magenta; when cyan runs low, the magenta fraction dominates and blues slide toward purple. If your navy headers have gone violet while other colors look fine, change the cyan before touching anything else — one fresh cartridge usually puts the whole palette back where it belongs.

Which printers take this cyan?

This cyan is made for the Ricoh Aficio MP C4501 and MP C5501. The four colors are individual cartridges on these models, and this listing is cyan only — the black cartridge for the same machines is a separate item. Check the color named on the printer's display and you cannot go wrong.

What backing do we get with a compatible cartridge?

The same as every compatible cartridge we sell: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. If this cyan leaks, streaks or fails early, the steps are on our shipping & returns page — and only the faulty cartridge comes back, never the whole set.

Should we replace the other colors at the same time?

No — there is no benefit in changing cartridges that still have life in them. These machines report each color separately for a reason. Replace the cyan now, and let the others run to their own finish; you will spend less and waste nothing.
