Frequently Asked Questions
Why does cyan run out so much sooner than the black cartridge?
It is a matter of capacity, not a defect: this cyan cartridge is rated at up to 4,000 pages while the black holds 12,000. Color pages also draw cyan for far more than blue objects — skies, logos, charts, and even composite grays in photos all consume it — so in a color-heavy office cyan is normally the first cartridge to empty.
What does a color page cost with this cartridge, honestly?
At $46.97 for up to 4,000 pages, cyan works out to about 1.17 cents per page at standard 5% coverage — noticeably more per page than the black cartridge. We would rather state that plainly than dress it up: color printing on this platform costs more to run, and fuller-coverage pages will use the cartridge faster than the rating suggests.
Can I replace just the cyan, or do all colors have to be changed together?
Just the cyan. Each color on the MP C305SPF is a separate cartridge, so you only replace the one that is empty and leave the others in place until their turn comes. That keeps you from paying to swap out magenta and yellow that still have life in them.
Is this cyan cartridge the one my printer needs?
This is the 841591 cyan cartridge for the Ricoh MP C305SPF platform. The listing names that model, but the same cyan cartridge is used across the whole MP C305SPF family, so any machine on the platform takes it.
If the color looks wrong after I install it, am I covered?
Yes — the cartridge carries a 12-month warranty, and you can return it free of charge any time within the first year. If blues come out streaky or washed out because of the cartridge, get in touch and we will send a replacement or refund your purchase.
How quickly can I get a replacement cartridge shipped?
Orders leave from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, or California — is closest to you, which keeps delivery to a few business days for most addresses. Questions before you order? Our team is in Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central.
