Frequently Asked Questions

The MP 3500 only holds one cartridge — why buy two at once?

Because when a departmental machine stops, a whole team's work stops with it. This 2-pack puts one cartridge in the MP 3500 and a sealed spare on the shelf beside it, so the day the installed unit runs dry the swap takes minutes instead of waiting on a delivery. The pair covers 60,000 pages in total, which for most departments means toner stops being something anyone has to think about for a long stretch.

What do I actually save with the 2-pack?

Two single cartridges bought separately come to $91.52. This pack is $73.01, so you save $18.51 and the per-cartridge price drops to $36.51 — each unit is still the same 30,000-page cartridge, just bought at the better rate. Spread over the pack's 60,000 pages, the running cost falls to roughly 0.12¢ per page.

Which printer is this 2-pack made for?

Both cartridges in the pack are the 884922 black cartridge for Ricoh Aficio MP 3500. The MP 3500 prints in black only, so the pack is simply two of the same unit — one to install now, one to hold in reserve, or one for each of two machines if your office runs a pair of them. Confirm the 884922 code on the supply label inside your machine's front door before ordering and you cannot mismatch it.

Will the spare cartridge go bad sitting on the shelf?

No. A sealed cartridge keeps its toner stable for a long shelf life — store it flat, out of direct sunlight and away from heat vents, and it will perform the same the month it is opened as the day it arrived. There is no clock ticking on an unopened unit, which is exactly why the spare-on-the-shelf approach works for machines that take months to work through a single cartridge.

If one cartridge in the pack turns out faulty, do I have to return both?

No — each cartridge is covered on its own under our 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns. If one unit leaks, streaks or fails well short of 30,000 pages, that cartridge alone is replaced or refunded and the return shipping is on us; the other cartridge stays yours and fully covered. The full terms are on our shipping & returns page, and our support team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you want help checking a print problem first.

Can the two cartridges be split between two machines?

Yes — nothing ties them together. Offices running two MP 3500s often put one cartridge in each machine, and departments with a single machine keep the second as the reserve. Either way the pack ships complete from the warehouse nearest you — we stock Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California — so the pair typically arrives within a few business days of ordering.
