Frequently Asked Questions
Why change all three colors at once instead of one at a time?
Colors age together: when one is empty, the other two are usually partway down, and a brand-new cartridge beside two tired ones can leave output slightly unbalanced during the overlap. Swapping in a matched trio resets the whole color side to the same starting point, so blues, reds, and greens stay consistent with each other. It also means one planned pause instead of three separate interruptions.
Exactly what is in this 3-color set?
One cyan cartridge (888311), one magenta cartridge (888310), and one yellow cartridge (888309) — one of each color, each rated at 15,000 pages. Black is not part of this set; the 888308 black cartridge is sold separately because it is replaced on its own, faster rhythm. Between them the three colors give you a full 45,000 pages of rated color capacity.
Which printer does this set belong to?
Lanier LP226cn, Aficio CL4000DN, Aficio SP C410DN and Aficio SP C411DN All three cartridges in this set are made for the Ricoh Aficio CL4000DN platform — the listing names a single model, but the cartridges are the platform's standard color set. They install alongside the platform's black cartridge and cover the complete color side of the machine in one box.
How much does the set save over buying the colors separately?
The three singles bought one at a time total $325.61; the set is $288.64, so you keep $36.97 and pay $96.21 per cartridge instead of roughly $108 each. Per rated page, that brings the color cost down to about 0.64 cents from roughly 0.72 cents. The saving is real but modest — the bigger win for most buyers is the single order and the matched changeover.
When is this set the wrong purchase?
If one of your colors is still nearly full — say the printer has mostly done black work and only yellow is empty — a single cartridge is the smarter buy and the rest can wait. The set earns its keep when two or three colors are low together, or when you are standardizing a stockroom shelf. Honest sizing beats a bargain that sits half-unused.
What coverage does the set come with?
Each cartridge in the set is covered by our one-year warranty, and compatible cartridges carry one-year free returns — the details are on our shipping and returns page. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA, and CA. Support is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
