Frequently Asked Questions

How far does a two-pack actually take a C6000 over the course of a year?

The pair holds 66,000 rated pages between the two cartridges. A department producing 5,000 to 6,000 black pages a month is looking at close to a full year of black toner in a single order; a floor doing twice that volume will cycle through it in about half the time. Because the C6000 is the faster model in its family, busier offices reach the end of the pair sooner than the page rating alone might suggest.

What does each cartridge in the pair effectively cost us?

Buying the two-pack at $146.43 works out to $73.22 per cartridge, against $82.46 each when bought singly — an $18.49 saving across the pair. That drops the per-page figure from about 0.25 cents to roughly 0.22 cents on rated yield.

Is the two-pack tied to the C6000 in the title, or does it cover the family?

It covers the family. Both cartridges are the standard black supply for the entire Ricoh IM C4500 and IM C6000 platform, and the listing simply carries the C6000 name. Any machine in that platform family runs this same black cartridge, so a mixed floor can stock one black item instead of several.

How should we store the second cartridge while the first one is in the machine?

Keep it sealed in its packaging, stored flat in a cool, dry spot out of direct sunlight. Sealed toner does not dry out or expire on office timescales, so there is no penalty for buying ahead. When the first cartridge empties, install the spare and let that be your trigger to order the next two-pack.

Can one two-pack be shared across two different machines?

Yes — the two cartridges are independent units, not a linked set. Offices running two machines from this platform often park one cartridge in each, or keep both in a central supply cabinet and issue them as gauges run low. Either way, rotation is simple: use the older stock first.

Are both cartridges in the pack protected the same way?

Yes. Each cartridge carries its own one-year warranty with free returns during that year, so a problem with one unit never forces you to send back its partner. Details are on our shipping and returns page, and stock ships from IL, PA, GA, and CA warehouses.
