Frequently Asked Questions

How long will 2,300 pages actually last us?

That depends entirely on your monthly volume. At 200 pages a month — typical for a home office or a small desk-side setup — this cartridge runs close to a year; at 500 pages a month, expect roughly four to five months. The SP C250 platform is a compact desktop machine, and its cartridges are sized for light duty, so heavy printers will cycle through them noticeably faster.

Is 2.82 cents per page expensive for black toner?

Honestly, yes — it is on the higher side, and we would rather tell you that up front. Small, inexpensive desktop printers like this one almost always use smaller cartridges, and smaller cartridges cost more per page than the big workgroup units. For light printing the difference is a few dollars a month; if you print thousands of pages monthly, this platform's cartridge size — not the brand of cartridge — is what drives your cost.

Will this cartridge work in my printer?

Yes, if your machine is part of the Ricoh SP C250DN and SP C252DN platform. This listing names the SP C250DN, but the 407539 black cartridge is the standard black for the whole compact family, including the SP C252DN — the printer does not care which model name appears in the listing title.

What are the signs this cartridge is nearly empty?

Text starts to look gray instead of black, and pages may come out with a faded band down one side. The printer will also post a low-toner warning on its display well before output quality drops. Because the cartridge is small, the gap between the first warning and visibly faded pages can be short at higher volumes — ordering when the warning appears, rather than when pages fade, avoids a gap in printing.

What protection do I get if the cartridge underperforms?

Every cartridge we sell is covered by a one-year warranty, and returns are free within the first year as well — the full terms are on our shipping and returns page. If a cartridge leaks, streaks, or falls well short of its rated yield under normal use, contact us and we will replace it or refund you.

How fast will my order arrive?

Orders ship from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, or California — is closest to you, so most customers see delivery in a few business days. If you need help choosing or checking an order, our support team answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central.
