Frequently Asked Questions
How much printing does this five-pack actually cover?
Five cartridges at up to 2,300 pages each is 11,500 pages of black output. For a small office printing 500 pages a month that is close to two years of supply; at 2,000 pages a month it is under six months. We state it that way deliberately — this platform's cartridges are small, so even a five-pack is a working stock, not a lifetime purchase.
Is the five-pack the cheapest way to buy this cartridge?
Per cartridge, yes. At $249.91 the pack works out to $49.98 per cartridge against $64.78 for a single — $73.99 saved across the five, and a black page cost of roughly 2.17 cents instead of 2.82 cents. That is still not bargain-basement toner economics, because the SP C250 platform uses compact cartridges; the five-pack simply gets you the best rate the platform allows.
Does the pack work with our printer model?
It does if your machine belongs to the Ricoh SP C250DN and SP C252DN platform. The 407539 is the shared black cartridge for the family — the listing names the SP C250DN, and the SP C252DN takes the identical cartridge.
How do I keep five cartridges in good shape until they are needed?
Keep them sealed, stored flat in a cool, dry place away from windows and heaters. Toner powder is stable, so a cartridge bought today prints the same a year from now as long as the seal is intact. Work through them in purchase order so the oldest stock is always used first.
Do I have to install all five to claim on a faulty one?
Not at all. The warranty runs per cartridge for a full year, and returns are free within that year — see our shipping and returns page. If cartridge number three streaks or leaks, that unit alone is replaced or refunded; the rest of your stock is untouched.
Who is this pack really for — and who should skip it?
It suits a small business that has settled on this printer and prints every week: one order, the lowest per-cartridge price, no mid-month scrambles. If your volume is a few pages a week, be honest with yourself — a single or two-pack ties up less cash, and the cartridges will still be there to reorder when you need them.
About This Ricoh 407539 Black Toner Five-Pack
Five compatible Ricoh 407539 black cartridges for the SP C250DN family at $249.91 — $49.98 per cartridge and $73.99 saved versus singles, the lowest per-page rate available for this compact platform. Each cartridge yields up to 2,300 pages, for 11,500 pages total. The trade-off of the small SP C250 is frequent cartridge changes; this pack answers it with price and stock rather than pretending the yield is something it is not.
