Frequently Asked Questions

The printer only holds one black cartridge — why buy two at once?

Because this platform uses small 2,300-page cartridges, the one in the machine runs out more often than on a big office printer. Keeping the second cartridge on the shelf turns a toner outage into a two-minute swap instead of a two-day wait for a delivery. For a small office that prints every day, that continuity is the real value of the two-pack.

How does the pricing work out on this two-pack?

The pair costs $111.06, which is $55.53 per cartridge against $64.78 bought singly — a saving of $18.50 across the two. That brings your black cost down from about 2.82 cents to about 2.41 cents per page. On a low-yield platform like this one, multipacks are the easiest way to trim a per-page cost that is admittedly not cheap to begin with.

Are both cartridges in the box the same?

Yes — two identical, full 407539 black cartridges, each rated at up to 2,300 pages. There is no starter or half-filled unit in the pack; the spare is the same cartridge you would buy on its own, just purchased at the lower per-cartridge price.

Does this fit my machine?

This two-pack serves the whole Ricoh SP C250DN and SP C252DN platform. The listing calls out the SP C250DN, but the same 407539 cartridge is the standard black across the family, SP C252DN included, so either model takes these cartridges.

How should I store the spare cartridge?

Leave it sealed in its packaging, flat, in a cool dry drawer or cabinet away from direct sunlight and heat vents. Stored that way, a toner cartridge keeps for a long shelf life without any effect on print quality. When the installed cartridge fades, swap in the spare and reorder at your convenience.

What if one of the two cartridges turns out to be defective?

Each cartridge carries the same coverage: a one-year warranty and free returns for a year, detailed on our shipping and returns page. A problem with one cartridge never obliges you to send back the other — we replace or refund the faulty unit on its own.
