Frequently Asked Questions

Is a five-pack too much toner for one desktop-size MFP?

It depends on throughput, not machine size. The SP 401SPF is compact but built for workgroup duty; an office pushing 4,000 to 5,000 pages a month will use all five cartridges in about a year. If your machine prints a few hundred pages a month, though, be honest with yourself — a smaller pack is the smarter buy, and the cartridges you do not open are covered by 1-year free returns.

What is the saving compared with buying singles?

Five singles would total $463.70; this pack is $389.75, saving you $73.95. The per-cartridge price drops to $77.95, and over the pack's 60,000 rated pages your toner cost works out to roughly 0.65 cents per page — the lowest per-page figure short of the ten-pack.

Which printer do these cartridges go in?

All five are the black cartridge for the Ricoh Aficio SP 401SPF. They are identical units, so the pack also works as shared stock if your office runs two of these machines at different desks.

Any storage advice when five cartridges are sitting on a shelf?

Keep them sealed, stacked flat, away from sunlight and radiators, and rotate stock — use the cartridge that has been waiting longest first. A quick label with the arrival date on each box makes rotation effortless even when different people restock the printer.

What cover do we have across a pack this size?

The same as on a single: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns on every cartridge, as set out in our shipping and returns policy. One faulty cartridge is handled on its own; the rest of the pack stays yours and keeps working.

How is an order this size delivered?

It ships from whichever of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses is closest to you, and our team is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you need delivery updates or help planning reorder timing around your volume.
