Frequently Asked Questions

The printer only holds one cartridge at a time — why buy two?

Because the second one sits sealed on the shelf until the moment the first runs dry, and that moment always seems to land mid-job on a deadline day. With a spare on hand, a toner change is a two-minute pause instead of an emergency order and a machine sitting idle while a replacement ships.

How much does the two-pack actually save?

Two singles bought separately would cost $185.48; this pack is $166.99, so you save $18.49 and the per-cartridge price drops from $92.74 to $83.50. Across the pack's combined 24,000 rated pages, that works out to roughly 0.70 cents per page instead of 0.77.

Will this pack fit our machine?

Yes — these are the black cartridges for the Ricoh Aficio SP 401SPF. Both cartridges in the box are identical and interchangeable, so there is no order you have to use them in; open one, keep the other sealed until you need it.

How should the spare cartridge be stored while it waits?

Keep it sealed in its bag, flat, in a cool dry spot away from direct sunlight and heat vents. Stored that way, a toner cartridge keeps well for a long shelf period, and when you do open it, give it a gentle side-to-side rock before installing so the toner is evenly distributed.

What if one of the two cartridges is faulty?

Each cartridge is covered individually by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — see our shipping and returns policy. A problem with one cartridge does not affect the other; contact us about the faulty one and keep printing with the good one.

Where does the pack ship from, and how fast?

We dispatch from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, choosing the closest stock for your address, and our support team is on hand Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if anything about the order needs attention.
