Frequently Asked Questions
Who honestly needs four of these cartridges at once?
Offices where the 917 is the front-desk workhorse — constant copying, handouts, forms, mailings — and anywhere several of these copiers share one supply shelf. If your 917 only sees a few pages a week, four cartridges is more stock than sense and a smaller pack fits better. This size is for volume and for fleets.
What does the per-page cost drop to in the 4-pack?
The 4-pack is $59.75 for 28,000 rated pages, which lands at about 0.21¢ per page — roughly half the single-cartridge cost. Each cartridge works out to $14.94, and versus buying four singles at $28.81 you save $55.49. That is the strongest per-page math this cartridge comes in.
Can one 4-pack supply different machines, or only the Savin 917?
It depends entirely on throughput: a busy shared copier at 2,000 pages a month works through the pack in a little over a year, while a moderate office at 700 pages a month is stocked for more than three years. Copies draw from the same cartridges as prints, so count both against the total. Either way, toner ordering drops off your to-do list for a long stretch.
Will the later cartridges still be good when we get to them?
Kept sealed in their packaging, in a cool dry place out of sunlight, toner cartridges store well for long periods — toner is a dry powder, not a liquid that dries out. Rotate the stock so the oldest cartridge installs first. If you expect the pack to last beyond a couple of years in a very low-volume office, the 2-pack is the more sensible size.
What warranty and returns stand behind a bulk purchase like this?
The same as on a single: every cartridge carries a one-year warranty, and our shipping & returns policy keeps returns free for a year. Buying four at once doesn't dilute the coverage — a failure in cartridge three is handled the same as a failure in cartridge one.
