Frequently Asked Questions

How much printing does 140,000 pages of black toner really represent?

For a copy room or department running 8,000 to 10,000 black pages a month, this five-pack is well over a year of output. Even at 15,000 pages a month — serious volume for one machine — it covers about nine months. That is why this pack is usually bought as an annual supply rather than a routine restock.

What is the per-cartridge price at this pack size?

The five-pack is $203.56, which works out to $40.71 per cartridge — the lowest unit price in this family, and $73.94 less than buying five singles at $55.50 each. Per page, the cost drops below the roughly 0.20 cents a single cartridge delivers. High-volume users capture that difference again with every cycle.

Will every cartridge in this pack work in our MP C5502?

Yes. The MP C4502 and MP C5502 share one black cartridge design on this platform, identified in this listing by the code 841647, and all five units are identical. The full list of machines is Ricoh Aficio MP C4502 and MP C5502, so the pack can serve one busy machine or be spread across several on the same floor.

Is it sensible to keep five cartridges in storage at once?

For a genuinely high-volume site, yes — the cartridges stay sealed until needed, and stored flat in a cool, dry place they keep well. The practical rules are to rotate stock oldest-first and keep boxes away from heat and direct sun. Light users, on the other hand, would tie up shelf space for years and are better served by a smaller pack.

Can the pack be divided between locations?

Certainly. Because each cartridge is sealed on its own, offices often keep two at a main site and send the rest to branch machines running the same platform. You receive one shipment to whichever address you order to, and from there the units can be distributed however your team prefers.

If a cartridge fails months from now, are we still covered?

Yes — the one-year warranty and the one-year free-returns window described on our shipping and returns page apply to each cartridge in the pack, whenever it is put into service within that period. A single faulty unit is replaced on its own, without returning the rest of the pack. Reach our support team Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
