Frequently Asked Questions

Who actually goes through 50,000 pages of toner?

A print-heavy department — billing, logistics, records, anywhere paper moves all day. At 2,000 pages a month this two-pack covers about two years; at 4,000 a month, roughly a year. If those numbers sound far beyond your office, they probably are: this pack is deliberately built for the busiest MS521dn installations, not the average desk.

What does the two-pack save over two single Ultra cartridges?

Two singles would cost $559.78; the pack is $541.28, so you save $18.50 and pay $270.64 per cartridge. Spread across the pack's 50,000 rated pages, the cost works out to about 1.08 cents per page. The bigger economy is administrative: one order and one delivery instead of a repeating purchase cycle.

Which printers can use the cartridges in this pack?

Both cartridges are the 56F1U00 Ultra listed for the MS521dn, and the models they serve are MS521dn, MS621dn, MS622de, MX521de, MX522adhe, MX622ade and MX622adhe. A useful detail for planners: the same MS521dn also runs the much smaller standard 56F1000 cartridge, so if a second, lightly used machine joins the office later, it does not have to share this Ultra stock to stay supplied.

Can the pack be split between two printers?

Yes. Each Ultra cartridge is sealed and independent, so one can go into service now while the other waits, or the pair can supply two compatible printers at different sites. Splitting changes nothing about coverage — each cartridge keeps its own warranty standing.

How long can the second cartridge wait before being installed?

Years, realistically. Kept sealed in its box, stored flat somewhere dry and room-temperature, toner does not degrade on a schedule that matters to a two-year supply plan. Write the arrival date on the box, install the older cartridge first, and keep the spare away from radiators and sunny windowsills.

If one cartridge in the pack proves faulty, what happens?

It is dealt with on its own: returns are free for a full year and every cartridge has its own one-year warranty, so a single bad unit never means returning both. Start the process via our shipping and returns page, or call support Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the working cartridge stays in your printer meanwhile.
