Frequently Asked Questions

Why keep a second cartridge on the shelf instead of ordering when the first one runs out?

Because a printer that stops mid-week stops work with it. With the second cartridge already in the drawer, a swap takes two minutes and nobody waits on a delivery. The moment you install that spare, order the next one — the installed spare becomes your reorder trigger, and the shelf is never empty.

What do I actually save with the two-pack?

Two single cartridges bought separately would cost $349.88; this two-pack is $331.40, so you save $18.48 and pay $165.70 per cartridge instead of $174.94. Across the pack you get 12,000 rated pages. It is a modest saving, but it repeats every cycle for as long as the printer stays in service.

Does this two-pack work in printers besides the MS521dn?

Yes. The listing carries the MS521dn name, but both cartridges are the standard 56F1000 for the full platform: MS321DN, MS421DN, MS421DW, MS521DN, MS621DN, MX321ADN, MX521ADE and MX521DE. Any model on that list runs on these cartridges, so a two-pack can also serve two different compatible printers if you would rather split it.

Will the spare cartridge go bad sitting unopened in a drawer?

No. A sealed toner cartridge keeps for years in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat vents. Toner is a dry powder, not a liquid, so there is no drying-out clock ticking on an unopened box. Date the box when it arrives and always install the oldest one first.

Are both cartridges in the pack covered if one turns out faulty?

Yes — the warranty applies per cartridge, not per order. Each unit carries its own one-year warranty and one-year free returns from the date of purchase, so a problem with one cartridge is handled on its own without touching the other. The full policy is on our shipping and returns page.

How fast will my order get here?

Orders ship from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, or California — is closest to you, which keeps transit times short for most of the country. If you have a question before or after ordering, our support team answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
