Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a high-speed printer need a shelf spare more than a slow one does?

Because its downtime is measured in queued jobs, not minutes. The MS621dn is usually the machine a whole workgroup leans on, and a fast printer with no toner backs up everyone's work at once. Keeping the second cartridge beside the machine turns an empty-cartridge crisis into a two-minute swap, any day of the week.

What is the saving against buying two singles?

The two-pack is $331.40 against $349.88 for two single cartridges — $18.48 saved, at $165.70 per cartridge. Total rated output is 12,000 pages. On a machine that may go through a cartridge every couple of months, that saving recurs several times a year.

Will this pack fit our other Lexmark printers too?

Quite possibly. The listing names the MS621dn, yet the cartridges are the standard 56F1000 for the entire platform: MS321DN, MS421DN, MS421DW, MS521DN, MS621DN, MX321ADN, MX521ADE and MX521DE. If a second printer in your office appears on that list, it draws from the same stock — one cartridge type to buy, store, and reorder.

Can the two cartridges be split between two machines?

Yes. Each cartridge is individually sealed and works independently of the other, so you can install one in the MS621dn today and hold the second for another compatible printer, or keep it as the MS621dn's own spare. Nothing about the pack ties the pair to a single machine.

How quickly can a replacement order reach us if we do run out?

We ship from four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and California — and send your order from the one nearest you. That regional network exists precisely for machines that cannot wait a week for toner. Planning ahead with this two-pack is still cheaper than relying on it, but the safety net is there.

How are returns handled on a two-pack?

Returns stay free for a full year from purchase, and the one-year warranty covers each cartridge separately. If one unit is faulty, you return that unit — the other stays in service. Details are on our shipping and returns page.
