Frequently Asked Questions

When the first cartridge in this pack runs out, how much printing is left?

Exactly half the pack: a full 6,000 rated pages in the second cartridge. That is the practical rhythm of a two-pack on an MS421dn — install cartridge one, and the moment it empties, cartridge two carries the workgroup for another full cycle while you reorder at leisure. There is no window where the printer waits on a delivery.

What is the price advantage over buying singles twice?

The two-pack is $331.40, versus $349.88 for two single cartridges bought separately — a saving of $18.48, bringing each cartridge to $165.70. It is a modest reduction rather than a dramatic one, and we show the arithmetic openly so you can judge it yourself. For many workgroups the convenience of always having the next cartridge in the building is worth as much as the discount.

Can one cartridge from this pack go in a different printer than the other?

Yes. Both cartridges are the standard 56F1000, which is shared across this Lexmark platform: MS321DN, MS421DN, MS421DW, MS521DN, MS621DN, MX321ADN, MX521ADE and MX521DE The MS421dn in this listing's title is one destination; either cartridge can equally serve any other model shown. Mixed-model offices routinely split packs this way.

Does my workgroup need to do anything special when swapping cartridges?

No special procedure beyond the printer's own cartridge change, which takes a couple of minutes and no tools. Give the new cartridge a gentle side-to-side rock before installing to distribute the toner evenly. The printer recognizes the cartridge and resumes — no settings, no resets, no configuration.

How are returns handled if we change our minds or a unit fails?

Returns are free for a full year and every cartridge carries a one-year warranty, whether it fails in month one or month eleven. If a cartridge underperforms, contact us for a replacement or refund under the terms on our shipping and returns page. Our support team works Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders ship out of IL, PA, GA, and CA.

How many pages does the pack cover in total?

12,000 pages at the standard 5% coverage rating — 6,000 per cartridge. A workgroup printing 1,000 pages a month is looking at about a year of coverage from one purchase. Pages with dense text or graphics draw toner faster, so heavy-coverage shops should plan on the lower side of that range.
