Frequently Asked Questions

For a wireless printer everyone shares, why does a spare cartridge matter more than usual?

Because nobody "owns" a shared printer, nobody notices the toner fading until it is gone — usually mid-job, on a deadline. A two-pack means the replacement is already in the building when that moment comes: swap it in two minutes and print on. The pack's 12,000 rated pages typically cover a small shared team for well over a year.

How much cheaper is the two-pack than two singles?

The pack is $331.40 against $349.88 for two singles, so each cartridge effectively costs $165.70 instead of $174.94 — $18.48 saved in total. Honestly, the saving alone is modest; the real return is never having the office printer down while a cartridge is in transit. Both figures are on the table so you can decide which matters more to you.

Can the second cartridge serve a different model if we add another printer?

Very likely, yes. The 56F1000 is the shared cartridge across this Lexmark platform: MS321DN, MS421DN, MS421DW, MS521DN, MS621DN, MX321ADN, MX521ADE and MX521DE This listing is titled for the MS421dw, but either cartridge fits every model in that list, including the wired versions. Buying the pack is therefore not a bet on one printer — it is stock for the platform.

Where should the spare live if the printer is in an open area?

Any dry shelf or drawer near the printer works; keep it sealed in its box, out of direct sunlight and away from heaters. Toner is a stable dry powder, so a spare bought today prints to its full rating when installed a year from now. Just avoid damp storage like a basement floor.

What if a cartridge in the pack turns out to be faulty?

Each unit is protected by our one-year warranty, and returns are free for one year from purchase — a faulty cartridge goes back on its own and is replaced or refunded. The process is described on our shipping and returns page. You can reach support Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and we ship from IL, PA, GA, and CA warehouses.

Does this pack include anything besides the two cartridges?

No — it is two individual compatible 56F1000 cartridges, each a new-build unit rated at 6,000 pages, not genuine Lexmark OEM cartridges. There are no drums or other parts to worry about with this platform; the cartridge is the only consumable you replace. When both are eventually used, a fresh pack or a single restocks you the same way.
