Frequently Asked Questions

Is a four-pack overkill for a printer the size of the MS421dw?

For one lightly used machine, honestly, it can be — 24,000 pages could take a small home office several years to print. The four-pack earns its place when one order stocks several printers on this platform, or when whoever handles purchasing wants toner settled for a long planning horizon. If that is not you, the single or two-pack is the better-sized purchase, and we would rather sell you the right quantity.

What does the bulk pricing come to per cartridge?

$161.08 per cartridge, the lowest unit price offered for the 56F1000, with the four-pack totaling $644.30. Compared with four singles at $174.94, the saving is $55.46. The per-page cost of this cartridge family is on the higher side regardless of pack size, so the pack discount is best viewed as trimming an already fixed cost, not transforming it.

Do all four cartridges have to go into MS421dw printers?

No — the 56F1000 is one cartridge for an entire platform: MS321DN, MS421DN, MS421DW, MS521DN, MS621DN, MX321ADN, MX521ADE and MX521DE The MS421dw name on this listing is just the reference model; any cartridge in the box fits any printer on that list. A four-pack commonly serves as a shared pool across a mix of these Lexmark machines in different rooms or offices.

How should we manage a stock of four cartridges?

Keep them sealed and boxed in a dry, room-temperature spot, and install them oldest first. A common setup is one spare beside each printer and the balance in a central drawer, so no location can be caught empty. Dry toner does not degrade on the shelf the way liquid ink does, so a slow rotation is perfectly fine.

If we use three cartridges and the fourth fails, is it still covered?

Yes, within the coverage window: every cartridge carries its own one-year warranty and one-year free returns apply, so the faulty unit is replaced or refunded on its own without returning the others. The steps are on our shipping and returns page. Support runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and stock ships from our IL, PA, GA, and CA warehouses.

Are these genuine Lexmark cartridges in bulk packaging?

They are not — each is a new-build compatible cartridge manufactured to the 56F1000 specification with a rated 6,000-page yield, backed by our warranty rather than Lexmark's. Nothing about the pack changes the cartridge itself; bulk here only means quantity and price. If you specifically need genuine OEM stock, this listing is not it, and we label that plainly.
