Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a 5-pack of 310-5726 cartridges actually sized for?

Offices where the Color Laser 3000cn is a workhorse and black output runs into the thousands of pages per quarter. Five 310-5726 cartridges hold 20,000 rated pages — enough that toner ordering stops being a recurring chore and becomes a once-or-twice-a-year decision. Busy front desks, billing departments and small firms running their paperwork through one shared 3000cn are the typical buyers.

What does the bulk pricing do to the per-page cost?

The 5-pack is $141.70, which is $28.34 per cartridge against $43.14 for a single — a saving of roughly $74 across the pack. Spread over 4,000 rated pages each, the cost per page falls to about 0.71 cents, compared with roughly 1.08 cents buying singles: about a third less for every black page the 3000cn prints. On 20,000 pages, that per-page gap is where the real money sits.

When does buying five at once NOT make sense?

Honestly, in two situations. First, if your 3000cn prints only a few hundred pages a month, five cartridges could sit for years and the discount is not worth the shelf commitment — a single or 2-pack fits better. Second, if the printer itself is nearing replacement, stock bought for it may never be used. Bulk pricing rewards predictable, continuing volume; it is not a deal if the pages are not there.

How should five cartridges be stored so the last one is as good as the first?

Keep them sealed in their packaging, stored flat in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and heat. Write the arrival date on each box and use them in order. Toner is a dry powder and stores far better than ink, so a 5-pack held under office conditions stays serviceable across the whole period it takes a busy printer to work through 20,000 pages. Avoid attics, garages and anywhere damp.

Does the warranty really cover a cartridge we open a year from now?

Each 310-5726 in this pack is covered by a one-year warranty with free returns for a year. If a unit from the pack prints badly — leaking, streaking, fading well short of its yield — it can be returned on those terms; you are not expected to send back the remaining good cartridges. Full details are on our shipping and returns page, and support is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central.

How is an order of this size delivered?

We ship from the nearest of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — which keeps transit times and handling to a minimum even on a five-cartridge box. For offices standardizing on this printer, reordering the same pack keeps purchasing simple; the rest of the family's range is in our Dell toner section.
