Frequently Asked Questions

What does black toner cost per page on our Dell 2130 with this cartridge?

At $27.30 for a rated 2,500 pages, the 330-1436 works out to roughly 1.09 cents per page for the black slot of your 2130. That is the honest figure at standard 5% coverage — documents with heavy black fills will land a little above it, plain text correspondence a little below. It is not the cheapest per-page number in the Dell catalogue, because compact color-laser cartridges never are, but it is a fair price for the correct high-yield black in this machine class.

This listing gives both a printer name and a number — which one should I order by?

Order by the number whenever you can. This cartridge is listed for the Dell 2130, but the part number 330-1436 is what guarantees you are looking at the same unit your printer already uses — the number is printed on the cartridge label itself, while printer names get shortened, mistyped and mixed up across catalogues. If your empty cartridge reads 330-1436, this is its replacement regardless of which name the listing leads with.

How far does one cartridge go in a working 2130?

At a light 100 pages a month, a single 330-1436 could last around two years. At 400 pages a month — a realistic figure for a 2130 shared by a small team — expect roughly six months. The 2,500-page rating is measured at 5% coverage, so treat it as a planning figure rather than a promise; the printer's own page counter tells you where you really stand.

Our 2130's black prints have gone gray and streaky. Is it the cartridge?

Very often, yes. Fading that gets worse toward one side of the page, gray instead of solid black text, and streaks that repeat down the sheet are the classic end-of-life signs of a toner cartridge rather than the printer itself. If a gentle rock of the cartridge side to side buys you a few sharper pages and then the fade returns, the unit is simply spent — a fresh 330-1436 is the fix, not a service call.

Is this Dell's own cartridge or a compatible one?

A compatible one. This 330-1436 is manufactured by a third party to Dell's specification for the 2130 family, which is why it sells at $27.30 rather than at Dell's branded price. Everything quoted here — the price, the 2,500-page rating, the coverage terms — refers to this compatible cartridge.

What happens if the cartridge disappoints?

It goes back. Every unit carries a 1-year warranty together with 1-year free returns, so an early failure is our problem to absorb, not yours. Our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the complete policy lives on the shipping & returns page. Stock is dispatched from warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA.
