Frequently Asked Questions

Several of us share one Dell 2130 — how long will this 2-pack last us?

The pack holds two 330-1436 cartridges at 2,500 rated pages each, so 5,000 pages in total. A shared 2130 printing 500 pages a month works through that in about ten months; at 1,000 pages a month, roughly five. Shared machines consume black faster than owners expect because every user's "quick print" draws on the same cartridge — which is exactly why a two-cartridge buy suits a shared printer better than a single.

What does each cartridge in this pack actually cost?

The pack is $36.11 for two, which is about $18.06 per cartridge — against $27.30 for the identical 330-1436 bought singly. That is a saving of $18.49 across the pair, and it drops the running cost to roughly 0.72 cents per page from about 1.09 cents. The ladder in this family is steep, and the 2-pack is where it first pays to climb it.

Is each cartridge separately rated, or is 5,000 pages a combined claim?

Each cartridge is individually rated at up to 2,500 pages at standard 5% coverage; the 5,000-page figure is simply the two ratings added together. You get two complete, full-fill 330-1436 units — the pack is not one cartridge plus a refill or a reduced-fill companion.

How do we keep track of the spare so it is actually there when we need it?

The failure mode in shared offices is not buying the spare — it is the spare quietly walking off or being loaded and forgotten. Keep the second 330-1436 sealed in its box next to the printer or in the supplies cupboard it was bought for, and reorder when the spare goes into the machine, not when the machine stops. That single habit — reorder at swap time — keeps a shared 2130 from ever sitting idle waiting on toner.

Is this the genuine Dell cartridge?

No. These are compatible 330-1436 cartridges, made by a third-party manufacturer to Dell's specification for the 2130 family. The $36.11 pack price, the per-cartridge figures and the yield ratings quoted here all describe these compatible units rather than Dell's own branded cartridge.

What protection comes with the pack?

Every cartridge in it carries a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, so a faulty unit — loaded or still shelved — comes back to us. Our support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the full policy is on the shipping & returns page. Stock ships from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA.
