Frequently Asked Questions

Our LBP674Cdw prints look cold lately — blues fine, but everything feels icy. Yellow?

That is yellow's signature. Cyan can be perfect while a low 5095C001 drains the warmth out of the page: greens turn blue, cream backgrounds go white-blue and photos look like winter light. Because nothing is blank or streaked, users blame the paper or the screen. Print a warm photo you know well — if it comes out chilly, the Canon 069H yellow is the cartridge to change.

What does yellow cost per page in this printer?

The Canon 069H yellow (5095C001) is rated at 5,500 pages for $71.40, about 1.30 cents a page. The standard 069 yellow (5091C001) costs $52.83 for 1,900 pages — roughly 2.78 cents a page. You pay $18.57 more once and get about 2.9 times the pages at less than half the cost each.

Does yellow really empty at the same rate as the other colours?

Rarely — consumption follows your documents, not the calendar. Chart-heavy work burns cyan and magenta; warm, photo-heavy and green-heavy work quietly burns yellow. That is why colours are separate cartridges: swap the 5095C001 when yellow is the one that fades and leave the others to finish their own lives.

Is this the genuine Canon yellow?

This is a compatible Canon 069H yellow made to the 5095C001 specification, rated at 5,500 pages like the spec it follows. It carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — full terms on the shipping and returns page — and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

Can I run an 069H yellow beside standard-yield colours?

Yes. The slots are independent and the printer does not care which yield level sits in each. Many LBP674Cdw owners convert yellow to the 5095C001 first precisely because it is the colour whose fade sneaks up on them.

How quickly can a replacement get here?

Orders ship from four warehouses — IL, PA, GA and CA — so most destinations are a short haul. Given yellow's silent fade, the practical move is ordering when the low warning appears rather than when output turns cold.
