Frequently Asked Questions

One in the printer, one in the drawer — is that the idea?

Exactly. This 2 pack puts a Canon 071 in your LBP-122DW and a second one within arm's reach. Home office printers never run dry on a quiet day — they run dry printing the contract, the labels or the homework deadline. With the spare already in the drawer, a finished cartridge is a two-minute swap, not a paused day.

What do the two cartridges cost me per page?

The pair is $83.09, so $41.55 per cartridge against $50.80 bought singly — you save $18.51 versus two separate singles, and the running cost drops from about 4.23¢ to roughly 3.46¢ per page. Each Canon 071 (5645C001) is rated at 1,200 pages, so the drawer spare is not a token gesture; it is a full second cartridge.

How long does 2,400 pages last a home office?

Two cartridges give you up to 2,400 pages in total. At 150 pages a month — a working-from-home rhythm with regular documents — that is around sixteen months covered by one purchase. At 100 pages a month, closer to two years. You are effectively taking toner off your shopping list for a long stretch.

I also have an MF275DW — does the spare cover both printers?

Yes. The Canon 071 (5645C001) is the same cartridge for the LBP-122DW, the MF273DW and the MF275DW. A spare bought for one printer is a spare for all of them, which is one of the quiet conveniences of this printer family — one cartridge type on the shelf, whichever machine asks first.

How should I keep the drawer spare?

Leave it sealed in its packaging, stored flat somewhere cool and dry, away from sunlight and radiators. A sealed toner cartridge waits patiently; when the installed one finishes, open the spare then — not before — and use your cartridges in the order you bought them.

What cover comes with this 2 pack?

Both cartridges are covered by our one-year warranty, and returns are free for a year — the terms are set out on the shipping and returns page. Orders ship from the nearest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, and our support team works Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
