Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheapest way, per page, to buy GPR-53 black?

This pack. The ladder runs $105.77 for a single GPR-53BK, then $96.52 per cartridge in the 2-pack, $93.44 in the 3-pack, and $90.97 here in the 5-pack. Against five singles at $528.85, the pack saves $73.99, and the per-page rate drops to roughly 0.25 cents — the lowest black figure in the GPR-53 family. On production volumes, that gap is real money across a year.

180,000 pages — what kind of operation is this pack sized for?

A busy one. Five cartridges at 36,000 pages each is 180,000 pages of black: at 2,000 pages a day that is a full quarter of working days; at 5,000 a day, still over a month. This is the pack for central copy rooms, print-for-pay corners and any site where the imageRUNNER's counter is the busiest number in the building — places that order toner by the season, not by the week.

Is there a 10-pack if we want to go further?

Not in this family — the GPR-53 ladder tops out at this 5-pack, which is also where the per-cartridge price bottoms out at $90.97. Two 5-packs ordered together give you ten cartridges at the same best per-unit rate, so there is no discount left on the table by the ladder ending here.

How do we keep five cartridges rotating properly?

Oldest first, one installed and the rest sealed on the shelf. Each GPR-53BK is individually packaged, so a cartridge opened in month three is in the same condition as one opened in week one. Mark the delivery date on the outer box if your stockroom holds toner for several machines — it makes rotation a glance instead of a guessing game.

What if one unit in a box of five is faulty?

It is handled individually. Every compatible we sell is backed by a one-year warranty and one year of free returns, cartridge by cartridge — a single bad unit is replaced or returned on its own, and the remaining stock is untouched. Full terms are on our shipping and returns page. With four more cartridges on the shelf, a fault never stops a run.

Who should not buy this pack?

Honestly, any site whose black volume is modest. If a single cartridge lasts you most of a year, five will sit on the shelf far longer than stock should, and the single or the 2-pack is the sensible buy. This pack earns its discount only when the cartridges actually turn over — support can help you size it against your counter history, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
