Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of operation orders toner eight cartridges at a time?

The kind whose toner shelf is a small warehouse function. This set holds eight cartridges across the full GPR-51 family — GPR-51BK black, GPR-51C cyan, GPR-51M magenta, GPR-51Y yellow — enough to refresh a production machine completely and hold a full second cycle in reserve, or to keep more than one machine fed from a single order. If your site plans supplies quarterly, this is the box that matches the plan.

What does the big box save against smaller sets?

Two 4-color sets would total $576.98; this set is $558.49 — $18.49 saved, with the per-cartridge average down to $69.81 against $72.12 in the 4-color set and $90.69 for a color single. Bulk in this family does not discount dramatically per step, but it discounts consistently, and across eight cartridges the steps add up to real money.

How do the yields stack up inside the set?

By class, not by a single total — the classes differ. The GPR-51BK black cartridges are rated at 19,000 pages each; the GPR-51C, GPR-51M and GPR-51Y colors at 21,500 pages each, the higher rating in this family. Plan swaps per slot from those figures: black will cycle fastest on text-heavy work, colors on color-heavy work, and the reserve half of this box exists to absorb whichever rhythm your machine settles into.

How do we rotate eight cartridges without losing track?

Date the box on arrival and always pull the oldest cartridge of the color you need. With a reserve this size the risk is not toner going off — sealed cartridges store well in a normal room, flat and away from heat — it is bookkeeping: a reserve nobody counts gets reordered late. A quick by-color count whenever a cartridge leaves the shelf keeps the next order ahead of the need.

If one cartridge in eight proves faulty, are we stuck with the box?

No. Cover runs per cartridge, not per order: every unit in the set carries a one-year warranty and one year of free returns, so the faulty GPR-51BK, GPR-51C, GPR-51M or GPR-51Y is replaced or returned individually and the other seven are unaffected. The terms are on our shipping and returns page.

Who should step down to a smaller set instead?

Any site with a single lightly used machine. Eight cartridges is a reserve strategy, and it only pays when the cartridges genuinely turn over; a machine that takes a year to empty a set should buy the 4-color set or singles and keep the cash. If you are between cases, support can size the set against your counter history — Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST — and orders ship from our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California warehouse.
