Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a 165,000-page pack actually sized for?

Five GPR4BK cartridges hold 165,000 pages. That is the territory of the genuinely busy machine — the departmental imageRUNNER that a whole floor prints and copies through all day — or of a small group of GPR-4 machines stocked from one cupboard. At 15,000 pages a month the pack is an eleven-month supply; at 25,000 a month across a shared pool, it still covers over half a year. If those volumes sound unlike your office, they are — the smaller rungs exist for you.

The order totals $299.26. Does that matter?

It can, and we will mention it because office buyers notice these things: the 5 pack brings five cartridges home for just under $300, a threshold that in many workplaces separates a routine order from an extra approval conversation. The value underneath is straightforward — $59.85 per cartridge against $74.65 singly, and $73.99 saved against five separate single purchases.

What does the cost per page settle at?

Roughly 0.18 cents per page: $299.26 over 165,000 rated pages. From the single cartridge's 0.23 cents, the 5 pack cuts more than a fifth off the unit cost of black output. Multiplied across the pack's working life, that fractional difference is worth more than the pack's own price difference several times over.

Several of our machines take the GPR-4. Can they share one pack?

Yes — provided each machine genuinely calls for the Canon GPR-4, which is worth confirming machine by machine, since similar-looking imageRUNNER models can belong to different cartridge families. Where the family matches, a shared 5 pack is good practice: one stock point, one reorder trigger, and every cartridge drawn at the same $59.85 pack price whichever machine consumes it.

How should five cartridges be stored and rotated?

Sealed, flat, cool and dry — a supply cupboard shelf, away from radiators, plant-room heat and direct sun. Rotate by age: the cartridge that arrived first goes into a machine first, which happens naturally if the pack is drawn from one end of the shelf. Offices at this volume usually adopt the trigger rule as well — when the fourth cartridge is opened, the next pack gets ordered, leaving one full cartridge of buffer at all times.

What cover comes with five cartridges?

Each compatible GPR4BK in the pack is individually backed by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns, so cover does not thin out as the pack is used up. The order ships from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA is nearest to you, and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
