Frequently Asked Questions

One cartridge already prints 33,000 pages — so why buy two?

Precisely because the cartridge lasts so long. When a GPR4BK finally empties after months of service, nobody in the office remembers where toner comes from, who orders it, or how long it takes — and the machine stops anyway. The 2 pack keeps a sealed spare permanently beside a high-yield machine, so the rare swap is a two-minute job and the replacement order is placed with 33,000 fresh pages already running. Long-life cartridges create long gaps between orders; the spare is what makes those gaps safe.

How does the pair pricing work out?

Two singles bought separately would cost $149.30. This pack is $130.80, so the second cartridge effectively adds $56.15 instead of $74.65 — a saving of $18.50 and a per-cartridge price of $65.40. The first cartridge in any pack in this family carries the single rate; every cartridge after it steps down, and the 2 pack is where that discount begins.

What does a two-pack do to our cost per page?

The pair holds 66,000 rated pages, and at $130.80 the cost of black output falls to roughly 0.20 cents per page, from 0.23 cents on a single cartridge. Across a year of departmental printing, that difference quietly covers the price of the spare cartridge habit itself.

Think of the month-end run: what happens when the toner dies mid-job?

With a spare on the shelf, very little: pause the run, swap in the fresh cartridge, and continue — the interruption is measured in minutes, and the half-printed batch is the only casualty. Without a spare, the same moment becomes an urgent order, a delivery wait and a deadline negotiation. High-volume machines earn their keep on exactly those end-of-month, end-of-quarter runs, which is when an empty machine costs the most.

Will a cartridge stored for months still perform?

Yes, stored properly: sealed in its packaging, flat, in a cool dry cupboard out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. Toner in a sealed cartridge is patient. When the working cartridge fades, the spare goes in and performs as a fresh cartridge should — and it carries the same warranty standing as the one you installed first.

What warranty and returns cover the pack?

Both compatible GPR4BK cartridges carry our one-year warranty and one-year free returns, individually — the spare is as protected in month eight as the first cartridge was on day one. Your order ships from whichever of our IL, PA, GA or CA warehouses is closest, and our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
