Our colour proofs keep coming out pale even though no toner warning shows — where do we look first?

Start with cyan. The GPR-36C is what puts the blue into every sky, every corporate blue and every green on the page, and a cyan cartridge in its last stretch often fades quietly before the machine bothers to warn anyone. Print a solid cyan test patch from the machine's maintenance menu: if it comes out weak or patchy while the other colours lay down solid, the GPR-36C is your answer. If all four patches are pale, the problem sits elsewhere in the machine and a new cartridge will not fix it.

What is cyan costing us per thousand colour pages?

The GPR-36C is $71.06 and rated at up to 19,000 pages, which works out at roughly $3.74 per thousand pages — about 0.37 cents per page for the cyan share. That is the rating at standard coverage; photo-heavy proofs with full-bleed blue backgrounds will draw the cartridge down faster, and text pages with a small colour logo will stretch it well past the rating.

Does one colour really get used faster on presentation-heavy work?

Yes, and cyan is usually the one. Decks, charts and training handouts lean hard on blues and greens, both of which are built mostly from cyan. On a machine that spends its day on that material, the GPR-36C can empty well ahead of the magenta and yellow even though all three GPR-36 colours carry the same 19,000-page rating and the same $71.06 price. The rating assumes an average mix; your mix writes its own schedule.

Can we order the cyan on its own, or does it only come in a set?

On its own, exactly as listed here. The GPR-36 colours are sold as singles — this GPR-36C, the GPR-36M magenta and the GPR-36Y yellow — as well as in the family's colour sets. If only the cyan has run down, there is no reason to buy three cartridges to fix one slot.

How does this cartridge reach a production site — where does it ship from?

From whichever of our four US warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — puts it on the shortest route to you. It is a Clever Supplies compatible cartridge, stocked in the US rather than shipped in per order, so a dead cyan on a deadline is a short wait, not an ocean crossing.

You are covered two ways: a 1-year warranty against defects and 1-year free returns if the cartridge does not perform as it should.
