Frequently Asked Questions
What does a page from our imageRUNNER actually cost with this cartridge?
Work it from the rating: this Canon GPR-35 black cartridge (GPR35BK) is rated at 14,600 pages and costs $58.70, which puts toner cost at roughly 0.40 cents per page. On a departmental imageRUNNER running copy and print jobs all day, that fraction-of-a-cent figure is the number that decides what the machine really costs to run — and it is low enough that toner stops being the line item anyone argues about in a budget review.
What does the 14,600-page rating mean in a working office?
The rating is measured at the industry-standard 5% page coverage — typical office documents, not solid-black pages. A department producing a few thousand pages a month will measure this cartridge's life in months rather than weeks, and heavy copy jobs with dense graphics will shorten it. Either way, a GPR35BK is a long-interval cartridge: it goes in, and the machine simply runs.
We noticed a GPR-34 cartridge at almost the same price — should we switch to it?
Honestly, the GPR-34 single looks like the better deal on paper: $58.04, sixty-six cents less than this cartridge, with a 19,400-page rating — about a third more pages. But the two are not substitutes. Your imageRUNNER takes the cartridge it was built for, and a GPR-34 will not do a GPR-35 machine any good sitting in its toner bay. If your machine specifies the GPR-35, this is the cartridge; the comparison only matters if you run both machine types.
Is this a genuine Canon cartridge?
No. This is a compatible GPR35BK cartridge sold under our own brand and built to the Canon GPR-35 specification, which is how it reaches $58.70 with the full 14,600-page rated yield. It installs in your imageRUNNER the same way the original does and is rated to deliver the same page count.
When does buying a single make more sense than one of the packs?
When the volume does not justify stock. A single suits a first purchase, a machine with modest monthly output, or a department that would rather reorder as needed than hold cartridges in a cupboard. The multi-packs lower the per-cartridge price — the 2 pack, for example, drops it to $49.45 — but that saving only counts if the pages will actually be printed.
What happens if the cartridge fails in the middle of a big run?
Every cartridge we sell is covered by a 1-year warranty, and returns are free within the first year if it fails to perform — a defective GPR35BK is replaced or refunded rather than argued over. The full terms are on our shipping and returns page, and our team is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
