Frequently Asked Questions
Why keep a second GPR-35 cartridge beside the copier?
Because a departmental imageRUNNER never runs dry at a convenient moment — it runs dry in the middle of the job everyone is waiting on. This 2 pack puts one GPR35BK cartridge in the machine and its replacement already in the building. Swapping takes minutes; waiting on a delivery takes days. For a shared machine, that difference is the whole point of buying two at once.
What does the 2 pack save over buying two singles?
Two Canon GPR-35 singles bought separately cost $117.40. This pack is $98.89, saving $18.51, which brings the per-cartridge price down to $49.45 and trims the cost per page from about 0.40 cents to roughly 0.34 cents. It is the first step on the pack ladder, and the saving is real without committing the department to a shelf full of toner.
How far does 29,200 pages stretch on a department machine?
Each cartridge in the pack is rated at 14,600 pages at standard 5% coverage, so the pair holds 29,200 rated pages. A department printing a few thousand pages a month is looking at the better part of a year between orders; a heavier floor will move through it faster, but even there, two cartridges mean one reorder covers two full toner cycles instead of one.
How should the spare cartridge be stored?
Keep it in its sealed packaging, in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and heat sources — a supply shelf in the copy room is ideal. Stored that way, a GPR35BK waits without any fuss until the day the machine asks for it. Avoid stacking heavy boxes on top of it, and use the older stock first when the next pack arrives.
Does the spare need to be installed by a technician?
No. Toner replacement on an imageRUNNER is a user-level task designed for office staff: open the front cover, slide the old GPR-35 cartridge out, slide the new one in until it seats. No tools, no service call, and no settings to change — the machine recognises the fresh cartridge and carries on with the queue.
What backing comes with both cartridges?
Both cartridges carry our 1-year warranty, and returns are free within the first year if either fails to perform — including the spare, whenever it is eventually installed. Orders ship from the nearest of our four warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Full terms are on our shipping and returns page.
