Frequently Asked Questions
What does the second cartridge in this 2-pack actually cost us?
Two singles bought separately come to $131.42; this pack is $112.94, so the second cartridge effectively rides along for $47.23 instead of $65.71 — a saving of $18.48 across the pair. Per cartridge the price falls to $56.47. For a cartridge rated at 25,000 pages, that brings the working cost down to roughly 0.23 cents per page.
Why hold a spare of a cartridge that lasts 25,000 pages?
Because the day it runs out is never a quiet day. High-volume machines stop entire workflows when they stop, and a shelf spare turns a toner emergency into a two-minute swap. With yields this large, one spare can cover an enormous stretch of printing — the insurance is cheap relative to the downtime it prevents.
Does toner keep while it waits on the shelf?
Yes, comfortably, for the timescales a 2-pack implies. Keep the cartridges sealed, upright, and somewhere dry at ordinary room temperature — not against a hot wall or in a damp store room. Toner is a dry powder; stored sensibly it has no interest in going off while it waits its turn.
Is this a genuine Canon product?
No. These are compatible cartridges built to the Canon 039H specification, code 039HBK, supplied under our own brand rather than Canon's. The cover is ours as well: a 1-year warranty and free returns for a full year on every cartridge in the pack.
What if the first cartridge from the pack disappoints us?
Tell us. The warranty and the free-returns cover run for a full year, so a cartridge that fades early or fails is replaced or refunded without a fight. Support answers Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 CST, and replacements ship from IL, PA, GA or CA — whichever warehouse gets it to you fastest.
Two at a time, or is a bigger pack the smarter buy for us?
The 2-pack suits a steady machine with a predictable rhythm — one working, one waiting. If several machines draw on the same shelf stock, or your volume is heavy enough that two cartridges are a short season's supply, the 5-pack and 10-pack of the 039H push the per-cartridge price down toward $49. The full ladder is listed in our Canon toner range.
