This is the Super High Yield cyan cartridge for the 3 printers in its platform — MFC-J5330DW, MFC-J6530DW, MFC-J6930DW. The cartridge is our compatible LC3019C, rated up to 1,500 pages to ISO/IEC 24711. It does NOT fit the INKvestment Tank printers (MFC-J5830DW, MFC-J5830DW XL, MFC-J5930DW, MFC-J6535DW, MFC-J6535DW XL, MFC-J6935DW), which take LC3029 instead. Do not order this cartridge for a Tank printer, however similar the yield numbers look.

A single cyan cartridge is the right buy when one color is low and the rest are healthy — sets are for resets, not for forcing a bundle. This Super High Yield cartridge, LC3019C, is rated up to 1,500 pages (ISO/IEC 24711) and serves MFC-J5330DW, MFC-J6530DW, MFC-J6930DW. Its tier siblings are LC3019BK, LC3019C, LC3019M and LC3019Y.
The cartridge carries a new compatible chip, with the small green chip on top that Brother's own support pages ask about when a cartridge is not detected. Brother's support text for this family is explicit that a genuine cartridge's microchip lets the machine detect ink volume and proper installation — so with a compatible cartridge the level display may not read. That is a display behavior, not a print failure, and we state it before you buy. Covered by our lifetime warranty, with free returns for the first year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which printers does the LC3019C fit?
MFC-J5330DW, MFC-J6530DW, MFC-J6930DW. No other models are on Brother's official list for this cartridge.
Does this cartridge fit the other platform in this group?
It does NOT fit the INKvestment Tank printers (MFC-J5830DW, MFC-J5830DW XL, MFC-J5930DW, MFC-J6535DW, MFC-J6535DW XL, MFC-J6935DW), which take LC3029 instead. Do not order this cartridge for a Tank printer, however similar the yield numbers look.
Is LC3019 the same as the cartridge with the same yield in the other platform?
No — same yield numbers do not mean the same cartridge. LC3019 and LC3029 are both rated 3,000 black / 1,500 color, but LC3029 is the INKvestment Tank cartridge and LC3019 is the standard-cassette cartridge; they are physically different and are not interchangeable.
Can LC3017 and LC3019 be mixed in one printer?
Yes, on the three standard-cassette models. Brother's own cartridge page lists both tiers for the same printers, and each slot is independent. (One compatible seller's claim that the two tiers cannot be mixed could not be verified from any Brother source, and we do not repeat it as a rule.)
Will my printer recognize this cartridge?
This cartridge carries a new compatible chip. If your printer's firmware has been updated, recognition issues can occasionally occur — reseat the cartridge firmly, check the small green chip contact is clean and untouched by fingers, and restart the printer. Brother's general position (March 2025) is that firmware updates do not block third-party ink.
What does “Cannot Detect Ink Volume” mean?
Brother's support text for this family describes the same behavior: a genuine Brother cartridge's microchip lets the machine detect ink volume and proper installation, and a non-genuine cartridge may not be detected the same way. The machine still prints; the gauge may not read.
Is LC3019 an INKvestment Tank cartridge?
No.
Is this a genuine Brother cartridge?
No — it is a Clever Supplies compatible cartridge built to the LC3019C specification, with a new compatible chip, labeled compatible on the box and on this page. It is not manufactured by Brother.
How should I handle and store this cartridge?
Hold it by the housing, keep fingers off the small green chip on top, and install it promptly once opened. Store sealed cartridges upright, away from heat and direct sunlight; do not open a cartridge until its slot is ready.
When is the Super High Yield tier the right choice?
High Yield (550 pages) suits a steady office load at the lowest per-cartridge cost; Super High Yield (3,000 black / 1,500 color) suits a printer that runs through ink fast and where fewer changes matter more than the per-cartridge price.
What warranty and returns does it carry?
A lifetime warranty — a cartridge that fails to perform is replaced — and free returns within the first year.
Can I buy just the cyan cartridge, or must I buy a set?
Just this cartridge. Sets are the same cartridges in one box; there is no requirement to buy a set to use this printer.
