Frequently Asked Questions

What volume of printing justifies five DR720 drums in one order?

Five drums at roughly 12,000 pages each equal about 60,000 pages of imaging life — the equivalent of seven to eight TN750 high-yield cartridges per drum cycle, repeated five times. That arithmetic suits a department printer that never really rests, or several TN750-platform machines drawing spares from one cupboard: at typical office volumes, this pack can close the drum question for years.

What does each drum cost at this quantity?

$26.99 per drum within the $134.93 pack — the lowest unit price in our DR720 range. Five single DR720 drums at $41.78 would come to $208.90, so buying the 5-pack saves $73.97.

Which printers can these five drums serve?

Any machine on the TN750 platform: DCP-8110DN, DCP-8150DN, DCP-8155DN, HL-5440D, HL-5450DN, HL-5470DW, HL-5470DWT, HL-6180DW, HL-6180DWT, MFC-8510DN, MFC-8710DW, MFC-8810DW, MFC-8910DW and MFC-8950DW. Because the drum specification is shared across the family, a stockpile is never tied to one printer — whichever unit reaches the end of its drum life first takes the next box.

How do drum changes interleave with toner changes at this scale?

A drum's 12,000 pages span about one and a half TN750 cartridges (8,000 pages each), so across five drums expect roughly seven or eight toner swaps. The printer tracks both counters independently and warns for each part separately — follow its prompts, transfer the cartridge into the fresh drum, and reset the drum counter.

How should five drums be stored so the last one is as good as the first?

Sealed in their boxes, flat, in a cool dark cupboard away from windows and heat sources — the drum surface is light-sensitive, so the sealed bag stays closed until fitting day. Rotate in purchase order. Stored this way, waiting time costs a drum none of its rated life.

What backing comes with a bulk purchase?

The 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns in our shipping and returns policy apply to all five units individually. We ship from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and support is reachable 9 AM–5 PM CST.
